    Division 1 Title

Right now it may seem to everyone that Buffalo Gap is the favorite to win the Division 1 state title since they are undefeated and Burton out of the picture. But you have to watch out for the Clintwood Greenwave. With a upset over Burton last week they look to carry their momentum over to their next game vs. Bath County. And with big play makers like Chris Robinson, Nick Robinson, Derek Robbins, and Mikel Rose on both sides of the ball don't be suprised if the greenwave make a run.

Congrats to the greenwave! But if were not for some bad coaching decisions in the last 4 min burton would be going upstate. Allowing very young players to go down on the kickoff after the burton score was not very smart. Driving the ball all the way down to the wave 30 and still have over 1 min left only to throw the ball into the endzone on 3 straight plays was not very smart by the qb,who could have ran for big yardage on 2 of the plays. Playing your inexperienced corners 10 yards off the ball and giving up the inside slant, well that aint to smart either. But I give the wave credit for hanging in and getting the win.

So young players is one of the best excuses you can think of for Clintwood winning? Even though Clintwood starts 2 freshmen on the OL and another at CB.

I'm not giving excuses I'm just telling what happened. If I wanted to make excuses I'd bring up injuries and the fact Clintwood got to use a player who was thrown out of a game last week.

If you want to complain about play calling that's one thing, but young experienced players is a stretch to say the least. I don't think Jimbo was playing his SR's and JR's on the kickoff team all year to just go recruit some 8th and 9th grade kids to play in the biggest game up till that point in the season. I'm sure he used the same kids that had been efective in that roll the rest of the year.
